Independant trip: You just want to discover the Pyrenees by yourself and benefit from an infrastructure adapted to your stay and some advice, do not hesitate to contact us, we can make you benefit from good plans and preferential rates.
Maximum distance: 60km/day.
Hôtel Alba (4 star Hotel) at the edge of the Gave de Pau, situated in a particularly welcoming setting nearby the bike departure zone and just a couple meters from Bike & Py. The hotel has a modern and bike-friendly infrastructure: secured bike garage, repair workshop, washing station, dry-cleaning service, appropriate meals, etc. What’s more, the hotel staff is eager, warm and very familiar with the needs of a cyclist.
We offer some supplements, but it is possible to include other services (access thermoludic center, tasting of local products, wine tasting, …), do not hesitate to contact us.
We can also plan a trip for accompanying persons who do not ride.
Bespoke: We are very passionate road cyclist and mountain bikers, so we have chosen to focus on providing a top cycling experience “à la carte“: top quality, top riding experience, small or private groups. We know that each people is different this is why we offer customized trip.

Day 1: Bike
From Bike & Py the day will start with the ascent of the Bois de Lourdes to then pass between the Pic du Pibeste and the Béout through the Basturguère Valley and the small villages of Omex, Ségus, and Aspin en Lavedan.
You will then enter in the Valley of Castelloubon along the stream of Neez to arrive at the Auberge de Castelloubon where a good traditional meal made from fresh products will be waiting for you.
Once your stomach will be full, you will continue this day through the Col de Lingous then down by Les Angles to finally return to Lourdes by the plain of Lézignan.
On a par with the Col de Lingous, it will be possible to extend the route up to the Col de la Croix Blanche (906m), where a breathtaking view of the Pyrenean foothills and the Pic de Montaigu will reward the most courageous.
Day 2: Bike
Classified “hors category” and theater of 5 arrivals of the Tour de France, the climb of Hautacam is part of the climb feared by many cyclists … By way of warming up 11 km on a slightly hilly road before you run to the biggest difficulty of this trip.
But rest assured, the electric assistance of the bike will allow you to apprehend this difficulty not without effort, but with more ease and comfort than on a conventional bike. After a 14km climb, a well-deserved meal based on local specialties will be served at the Arrioutou, typical Pyrenean inn. Authenticity and change of scenery guaranteed!
Day 3: Bike
From Lourdes, head towards Argelès-Gazost via the Voie Verte des Gaves, then you will climb up to the small village of Saint-Savin implanted like a promontory above the Vallée des Gaves. You will cross the village of Arcizans-Avant, then follow the stream of Labat de Bun to the village of Estaing before arriving at the famous Lac d’Estaing, in the heart of Val d’Azun.
A good meal will then be cook up and will you allow to go down quietly to Argelès-Gazost where a relaxing time at the thermal baths of the Jardin des Bains will nicely close your holiday.
